Loose Leashes started as a series of holiday images that Ron created to send to family, friends and clients. The photos were an instant hit and Ron’s niche was found. He and his wife, Amy, founded the Loose Leashes in 2004. Ron has since then has gone on to create smart and witty images for dog lovers all around the world.
About Ron Schmidt; his love of photography started with an old Yoshika that his Uncle Russ gave him for Christmas. His first photo shoot at age 7 was a wildlife exploration around his suburban New Jersey neighborhood. That day, he took his first animal photos of city squirrels and of his dog, Nicki.
