To visit Alaro castle you must first conquer the Puig D’Alaro – a steep climb, but worth the effort if you are fit enough. Starting in Alaro town, head for the ‘Orient Valley’, where you will see a road leading up the hill. It’s a very pleasant walk with lovely views and scents as you ascend.

Located at the entrance to the city, this ancient palace was built in the 10th Century on a site which pre-dates the city of Palma itself. It has many interesting historic features as well as a museum.
