If you’ll take macro shot of insects using your kit lens, there’s a high chance that they’ll feel your presence and run away from you. If you don’t want to take photos these subjects, you could always take photos of other things that you could find anywhere like jewelries, toys and random stuff. All you need is to be creative enough to make those simple things turn into an amazing and interesting shot.

In macro photography there’s actually a few different kind of lenses and macro lens is just one of them. However, they may be expensive but the shots you’ll be taking with these lenses are more than worth it.

If you’re planning to buy a macro lens and you’re not on a tight budget, the best lens that you can buy is the 100mm. With this kind of lens you wouldn’t have a hard time taking macro shots of insects, animals and any other living things. It is such an amazing lens that all macro photographers wants to have one but they can’t because it’s too expensive.
If you were on a tight budget you could go with the macro lens that has a lower zoom like 50mm. Buying your macro kit would depend on your need and your budget for the purpose of macro photography. Just keep in mind to choose wisely and don’t waste money on something you wouldn’t end up using in the long run.
